Evo/GSR Track Day: Mallala Motor Sport Park

The Mitsubishi Evo/GSR club held a track day on March 9th, 2008 at Mallala Raceway, South Australia. Despite the temperature reaching over 39°C (and closer to 60°C on track), the day saw a large turnout of vehicles. There were a range of Mitsubishi Evolutions represented from the venerable Evo 5 all the way to the latest Evo 10. Towards the end of the day several Porches, a Skyline, Monaro and Caterham 7 also saw an appearance.

2007 Australian International Airshow

The Australian International Air Show is the largest and most comprehensive air show and aerospace exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere.

The theme of the 2007 airshow (held between 20-25 March) was "Breaking the Barriers", as it was the 60th anniversary of the breaking of the sound barrier by Chuck Yeager (who himself was the guest of honour at the show).

There were approximately 1,000 aircraft on display, including more than 40 Australian Defence Force aircraft. It was also the 60th year of the United States Air Force, which participated with a large contingent of aircraft.

Despite poor weather, with rain over much of the weekend, the airshow saw over 200,000 spectators attend.

2007 Aeromil Pacific Classic Adelaide Rally

Since it was first run in 1997, the Aeromil Pacific Classic Adelaide has become one of the world's great rallies. It is Australia's foremost international tarmac rally for classic sporting vehicles. Last year the Aeromil Pacific Classic Adelaide celebrated its tenth anniversary.
